Stuart Broadhurst taking a group Lesson on the River Lowther.
Netting a wild brown trout.
Eden Valley Fly Fishing is based in Askham just south of Penrith. We have some excellent fishing for wild brown trout close at hand on a variety of rivers - and a good mix of local accommodation. Eden Valley Fly Fishing has been running for over ten years and during that time I have introduced fishermen from complete novice through to expert to some of the most exciting and rewarding wild brown trout fishing in the country. Much of our guiding takes place on the River Lowther - the 'jewel in the crown' of the Eden system. Lowther fish do not give themselves up easily but with stealth and a bit of work on advanced casting techniques, the rewards can be fantastic. We also have boats on Ullswater for those anglers with an interest in 'loch style' fishing, not to mention access to over forty miles of superb trout and grayling fishing on the Eden, Eamont and other waters. Casting Tuition and method are all part of the package along with entymology and fly tying as the use of bespoke flies increases success! I am S.T.A.N.I.C. qualified as well as being a qualified teacher.
