Ben makes with stoneware using throwing and hand building techniques. Using local materials in glazes, an example being Solway sand. The pots are fired to 1300 c in a wood fired cross draught kiln for up to 48 hours. Although interested in mark making, it is more important to allow the clay to speak.
Ben's work always receives interest from other potters. This is truly a reflection on the understanding of the skill needed to produce these pots.
